The Super Bowl was last weekend, and now that we have the Ravens, the blackouts, the headache-inducing sports commentators, and the gratuitous strutting pop stars behind us, let's take a look at one of the more notable phenomena from this year's event:
Yeah yeah yeah...I know, Beyoncé is sexy, she's talented, and all of that stuff. And like many other big-time music stars, she sells out faster than the annoying beat of her songs. She's been getting a lot of flack for shilling for Pepsi, producer of vast amounts of sugar-laden drinks and helping to churn out fat kids around the country. Not the most sympathetic of industries, to say the least. But perhaps we should give Beyoncé a break. At least she's not doing any private high-paying performances for noted world dictators or members of their families. At least, not lately. But give it time.
